Anyone bought from Oaks Elite Motors auctions recently?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. Thinking about placing a bid on a Honda Accord I saw on oakselitemotors.com. The price seems almost too good to be true. I've never used a repo auction site before and I'm a bit nervous about the whole process, especially getting a clean title. Are these guys legit? What have been your experiences?

You picked a good one to start with. I bought a Silverado from them last year. Process was super smooth. The pictures were accurate and the truck was exactly as described. The best part was not having to chase down the title; it was all handled by Oaks Elite Motors and arrived perfectly clear with the car at delivery.

I'll be honest, we had a small hiccup. Our delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday and didn't arrive until Wednesday evening. I was a bit stressed, but their logistics team was communicative and kept us updated. The Sea Ray boat itself was a fantastic deal, so it was worth the extra day of waiting.

@LakeLife_Gina That's pretty common with freight carriers, not really the auction's fault. Glad it worked out! I usually just call them on the phone at +1 419 517 4835 if I have a question, seems to be the fastest way to get an answer. Their staff has always been helpful.

If you're looking for project cars, they are a goldmine. Bought a '99 Mustang that needed a new clutch. The inspection report was honest about it. It was a great platform to start a build on for cheap.

My buddy won a Honda CR-V from them and asked me to give it a once-over when it arrived. As a mechanic, I was impressed. The condition was exactly what the report on their site said. No hidden frame damage or janky repairs. It was a clean car.

My wife and I bought our Winnebago from them. I was super worried about the title paperwork since it was an out-of-state bank lien. But Oaks Elite Motors handled everything. I was so relieved when the clear title arrived with all the official paperwork. No fuss at all.

My only slight complaint was it took them about a day to get back to my initial email query to office@oakselitemotors.com. I got a little antsy, but once the agent replied, she was incredibly thorough and patient with all my follow-up questions. The car was great when it arrived.

Yeah, they're one of the better ones out there imo. I've heard too many horror stories about other online auctions, but these guys seem to have their process locked down.

Wow, thanks for all the replies everyone! This is super reassuring. Especially hearing the good news about getting clear titles without any drama. That was my biggest worry. Feeling much more confident about making a bid now. Thanks again!

My Golf GTI had a small scratch on the rear bumper that wasn't super visible in the pics, but it's a 4 year old car so you expect some wear. For the price I paid vs dealership, I'm not complaining one bit. Mechanically it was perfect.

Totally agree with @GTI_guy. You have to remember these are used cars and expect minor wear. That's why the prices are so good. I got a 4Runner from them for way under book value and it's been a beast on the trails. I'd recommend Oaks Elite Motors for sure.
