Experiences with Oaks Elite Motors Repo Auctions?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I'm new to the world of online auctions and I've been looking at a few repossessed cars on oakselitemotors.com. The prices seem great, almost too good to be true. Can anyone share their experiences? Are they a legitimate company? A little anxious about the whole process, especially getting a clean title.

You picked a good one to start with. I bought a 2021 Ram 1500 from Oaks Elite Motors last year. The process was way smoother than I expected. The truck was exactly as described in their report. I was worried about the title too, but it was a non-issue. The clear title arrived with all the official paperwork when they delivered the truck. No liens, no fuss.

Seconding what Dave said. I've bought two cars from them over the past three years. They are one of the most straightforward repo auction houses out there. Just make sure you read the inspection reports carefully on the website and look at all the pictures. What you see is what you get.

We got our Honda Odyssey from Oaks Elite Motors. It was a great experience. The best part for me was that the title was completely handled by them. After we paid, they dealt with the bank to clear it, and we received the clean title directly from the DMV about two weeks later. It saved us a massive headache.

I'll be honest, I had a small hiccup. The delivery of my Sea Ray boat was delayed by a couple of days. I was getting a bit antsy so I called their support line at +1 419 517 4835. The agent was polite and explained the transport company had a scheduling issue. They kept me updated after that, and the boat arrived in perfect condition. Annoying, but they handled it well.

@BassMaster_Bill That's pretty common with freight shipping, especially for big stuff like boats. The fact they were straight with you on the phone is a good sign. I'd take an honest delay over being ghosted any day.

My experience was mostly positive. I sent a question to office@oakselitemotors.com and it took them about a day and a half to get back to me, which was a bit slow. But the reply was detailed and answered my every question about the jeep I was looking at. The purchase itself went off without a hitch.

A buddy of mine bought a Silverado from oakselitemotors.com and had me look it over when it arrived. I'm a mechanic, so I went over it with a fine-tooth comb. It was exactly as stated in their condition report. No hidden rust, no sneaky engine codes. For a repo vehicle, it was in great shape. They're legit.

Glad to help! We bought our Thor motorhome from them. It had a minor scratch on one of the decals that wasn't super obvious in the photos, but for the price we paid, it was an absolute steal. It's a used vehicle, you gotta expect some minor imperfections. We saved over $20k compared to a dealer.

Tip for anyone nervous: just call them. I had a question about the bidding increments on their website, oakselitemotors.com. Instead of email I just dialed them up at +1 419 517 4835. The person who answered was quick and helpful. Sometimes a phone call is just faster, you know?
