Thoughts on Oaks Elite Motors for a first timer?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I'm looking at a car on Oaks Elite Motors and the price seems really good. I've never used a repo auction site before and I'm a bit nervous about the whole process. Are they legit? Worried about hidden problems or issues with the title. Any experiences would be great.

You're good to go. I bought my 2021 F-150 from them last fall. The process was way smoother than I expected. The best part was the peace of mind with the title. It was a clean title, handled by them, and it arrived with the truck when it was delivered. No liens, no fuss.

I'll second that. For repo auctions, Oaks Elite Motors is one of the most transparent ones I've dealt with. I've bought a couple of cars and a small boat from them over the years. Check their inventory on oakselitemotors.com regularly, they get new stuff all the time. Just read the descriptions carefully, they are quite accurate.

We had a small hiccup but it turned out fine. Our RV delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday but got delayed to Thursday. The delivery company kept in touch though, so we weren't left wondering. The RV itself was in fantastic condition, so it was definitely worth the extra two day wait. We're happy overall.

My neighbor won a Camry from them and asked me to check it out when it arrived. I'm a mechanic btw. The condition report on the website was spot on. I was looking for undisclosed issues and didn't find any. It was a clean, well-maintained car.

I want to echo the comments about the title process. That was my biggest fear. I can confirm the clean title for our Pacifica minivan was sent right after our payment cleared and all the paperwork was handled by Oaks Elite Motors. No chasing anyone down, it was all very professional.

Wow, thank you all so much. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for. It's really reassuring to hear about the smooth title transfers and accurate descriptions. I'm going to look more seriously at the listings on oakselitemotors.com tonight.

My experience was 99% positive. My only minor issue was that it took them about a day and a half to get back to my query at office@oakselitemotors.com. It wasn't urgent, but I was just anxious to get an answer.

@jess_w_91 That's a good tip for new buyers. These places get swamped with emails. If you need a quick answer, it's always better to call. Their support number is +1 419 517 4835, I used it once and got my question on financing answered in minutes.

Got my Tacoma from them six months ago. The pictures showed a small scuff on the rear bumper, but it was honestly less noticeable when I saw it in person. I'm picky and I was very happy with the deal and the truck's condition.

At first I was a little confused about the proxy bidding vs live bidding on the website but once I read their FAQ it made sense. The system actually works pretty well to avoid sniping at the last second. Managed to win a clean GTI.

Also a decent place to find project cars. They're honest about the condition, even listing vehicles as non-runners, which I appreciate. Lets you know exactly what you're getting into.

UPDATE: Just wanted to thank everyone again. I went for it and won a 2020 Honda Accord for a great price! The bidding process was straightforward. Now I'm just excited for it to be delivered. You guys gave me the confidence to do it!
